Time, the indifferent master,
Passing away just the same.
Whatever I do,
however I feel.

Creating and dissolving things,
uniting and separating them.
Bringing things ashore,
it washes them away again.

I inhabit my memories at times,
emoting them, feeling, and living them.
Suddenly I awake:
all that is gone, never to be again.

Everything happens just once,
yet always was I half-hearted.
The mundane is the sublime,
this my mind slowly imbibes.
