‘Stuck’
We hear songs, tales, aphorisms.
We are told what the world is, what it's like.
Should we listen? We think we know better.
For many of us, it takes plenty of shocks to realize the world has a will of its own. It has scarcely listened to us, and we cannot make it dance to our tune.
But, if we listen closely, we can hear its rhythm. Sometimes guidance. Sometimes joy. Always play. Our self-expression becomes the intended dance.
Perfect to the tune, which we knew, despite pretending that we weren’t pretending.
If we wanted our life to be different, it would be. Admitting that, we begin to change.
